Auto-Annotated Copilot Conversations: Pieces for Developers VS Code 1.9.0 & Obsidian 1.7.0

Sometimes small changes make huge differences! Chatting with the Pieces Copilot in your favorite IDE or knowledge management tool is a big boost, but we’re always dreaming up ways to make it even more helpful. Today’s release includes a couple of small changes that will really make your experience with the Pieces Copilot shine.

Conversation Annotations

When you’re using persistent chats with the Pieces Copilot, it can be challenging to remember which chat was about what! With conversation annotations, it’s much easier to quickly re-reference a copilot conversation.

You can now perform three additional actions on each conversation in your conversation list in Pieces for Developers VS Code and Obsidian Extensions. When you click the three dots to the right of a conversation, you can:

  • Edit the conversation title
  • Delete
  • View annotations
  • Generate a summary
  • Pin it to the top of your list

Conversation annotations are very similar to the same feature in the Pieces Desktop App. You can view, edit, and change the type for each annotation in a conversation.
